The City of Moose Lake is proud to announce that we have been awarded $600,000 from the MnDOT Local Partnership Program. This grant will fund a walking / bicycling path from the bridge over the Moose River, along highway 73 to the roundabout, and south along County Road 10 to the new school.
This paved 10-foot-wide, two lane path, will provide safe walking and biking access to students, residents, and the region. With the construction of the school in its new location, safe access has been a priority for the City and School for many years. We are very proud to begin moving forward with safety and healthy living in mind.
To further fund this project, we will continue to seek grant dollars through the Safe Routes to School program. We will be seeking letters of support for our grant submission, so if you are interested please contact Moose Lake City Hall at 218-485-4010.
